Established in 1935, BC Cancer Foundation raises funds to support breakthrough research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer Agency, throughout British Columbia. We maintain offices in, and provide support to, all five of BC Cancer Agency's regional centres - Abbotsford, Fraser Valley, Southern Interior, Vancouver, and Vancouver Island. BC Cancer Foundation is committed to raising funds to reduce the incidence of cancer, the mortality rate from cancer, and improve the quality of life for those who live with cancer.
Our vision...a world free from cancer. Providing cancer care and research for all of B.C.
Through its five regional centres and a provincial network of community-based clinics and cancer centres, BC Cancer Agency provides cancer care for everyone in British Columbia and the Yukon. BC Cancer Agency is mandated to provide a full continuum of cancer control which includes early detection screening and prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care, patient and family support services, rehabilitation, and end-of-life care. BC Cancer Agency's ability to conduct innovative, creative research is very much dependent on donor philanthropy, through donor support of researchers and research programs.

At BC Cancer Agency Research Centre, leading cancer researchers work with clinicians, scientists, research technicians, post-graduate students, and dedicated support staff to discover what causes cancer, ways to improve treatment and how to develop more effective means of controlling and curing the disease. Direct links between the Agency's Research Centre in Vancouver and the Agency's cancer centres across the province allow new discoveries, identified locally and around the world, to be quickly translated into clinical applications here in B.C., ensuring that cancer care and treatment is based on the most recent, evidence-based research and the latest technologies.
